sorry for the gross question. first bowel movement after pregnancy? any l&d nurses with advice for a new mom?

I just had my son 5 days ago by c-section and I am finally feeling the need to have a bowel movement. I can feel that there is stool in my rectum and pressure, but I can’t seem to get it to pass? Anyone have any advice-I am miserable!!!
